Dec. 20, 2010

Got the attic insulated. He insulated the entire attic, so there is no room for storage up there. Man you ought to see my garage now! May have to think about getting rid of some of the boxes I've been saving that my collectables came in. :-) Friday night went to Bay City to see Kevin Cole's Christmas Concert. He says this may be the last one for a few years. Wonder what he has in the works that will prevent one the next few years. Was really good to see him and his mother. It's been over two years, I believe. Saturday went out to Mariane's. Her son-in-law has installed a HUGE movie screen in the living room and they watch movies at least once a week. This time they (and I) watched Disney's A Christmas Carol". Skipped church Sun. Ken, Wendy and I were all a little under the weather. Afteer talking to them, I went back to bed and woke up at 3 p.m.

This morning went over to see how Bill is doing in rehab. Not real well, I'd say. They can't watch him every minute and he won't extend his legs while exercising like he should. Also doesn't count--just does a few and stops. Says he wants to come home, but will have to do a lot better if he going to. They brought in an extra tray (cost me $3) and I had lunch with him. Pretty good lunch, if I do say so. Lita and I are planning to go over and eat supper with him on Christmas day.

Dec. 11, 2010

HAPPY BIRTHDAY,Jerry!

Had quite a week. Got to Don's about supper (for 'normal' people) Monday. We went through boxes and boxes of books. It's lots easier to get rid of his books than it is to get rid of mine. :-) Even so, I did bring a few back to add to my collection. Wed. night some folks from their church came and helped move boxes from place to place--and into my car. Have three boxes of books to take to the church for overseas and some things to make my next garage sale more interesting. Had planned to come home Wed., but got back Thurs. evening.

Slept most of Fri., than went over to visit Bill. Discovered that they DO have an aviary not far from his room. (I had been complaining because they have no pets there.) We wandered one hall, but have several more to check out. Someone has done a great job of decorating the walls in the halls.

Last night I got a late call from a friend saying that Jerry Garcia (gospel singer) was going to perform this morning. Should have called and told them to get Bill up and dressed, but I thought they did every morning. So, when I ran in to take him down to it, he was still in bed, in his PJ's, eating breafast. I went down to listen to him and got some pictures to write an article about him for the Advertiser. Took him up to introduce him to Bill. By then, Bill was dressed and ready to go. I watched a couple of episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger before heading home. While I was there, Santa Claus came in to visit. Jerry will be singing in Cass City tomorrow night, so if we don't get too much snow, I'll go over and hear him.

Got home about 3 p.m., and thought I'd take a short nap before getting busy. Next thing I knew, it was 9 p.m. So, haven't gotten much accomplished. Supposed to bet the attic insulated starting Mon., so need to do some rearranging in the garage before then. That should be the last major project for this year--I hope. Rose took good care of Tilly. Only problem was that I got well scolded by her (Tilly) when I got back. :-)

Dec. 5, 2010

Had planned to go on another home tour here in Caro today, but plans got changed. Getting ready to head to Warren, MI in the morning to spend a couple days with my brother Don and Regina. They are packing up and moving to Georgia right after Christmas. Sure glad I decided 40+ years ago to make Bill come back from Seattle so we'd be neaar our families. We are not the only ones from either family (except for Lita) that are in MI.

My cousin, Fernie, called this afternoon. While we were talking, she mentioned that Kevin Cole (my favorite pianist since Roger Williams) was playing a concert on Channel 19. So, I waited until about 6:30 to head to the care facility and when I got there we watched the concert. Of course as soon as I got home, I called in a donation so I could get the DVD. Going to see him in person next week in Bay City.

Now, it's pretty late and I'm still not packed, so guess I'd better get moving. Back in a few days.

Dec. 4, 2010

Went with Sue Dawson to the Frankenmuth Home Tour today. Out of five homes, one bathroom really caught my eye. If I didn't have so much stuff sitting on my counter, I'd consider decorating it a bit. Wish I could have gotten a photo of it. Took 3 with my phone. Saved one. Don't know if I got the others or not.--and don't know how to see the one I got. Love learning all about technology. :-) St. Lorenz was also giving tours, but we were running a bit low on time, so will have to try that one a different day.

December 3, 2010

Went over to watch NCIS with Bill Tuesday night and got a surprise--Rudolph was on before it. So, I ended up staying until 10 that night. Had a Care Conference on Wed. but didn't really learn much. They did say he has osteoperosis (which I had told him for years. They said he had stood for 6 minutes one day. I asked them to put one of those little peddle things in his room and see if they could get him to work with it while watching TV. Also told him I want him to go to the dining room at least a couple times a week. Going to check their activity schedule and see if I can get him to 'take' me to some of them. Got new tires on my car, and will get our attic insulated next week. Going to have dig up some money so I can get my new glasses soon, but guess it will have to wait a bit longer.

Nov. 229, 2010

Girls both made it home. Lita took Trina to Saginaw for her 5 o'clock flight, then went on to Grand Rapids. They decorated Bill's room for Christmas and gave us our Christmas gifts 'cause Trina won't have any time off at Christmas. Yesterday I went over about 6 p.m. and watched a couple TV shows with him.
Daniel came by for a few minutes tonight after school and put the stormwindow in the garage door. Checked my front tires and said they were a little low, but since I'm going to get new tires and my car aligned on Thursday, didn't go get them filled. Paid off one credit card, and now have to get the tires, and glasses for me. Never stops, does it?
Finally found a little food chopper that gets rid of the chunks in the cat food Tilly likes. Think I'm throwing away less cat food now. She used to lick all the gravy and other liquid, then leave the chunks of fish (or whatever). Now, she eats just about all of it.
Guess that's all the exciting news for today. Have a care plan meeting Wed., so might learn something new then.

Thanksgiving 2010

The girls and I picked Bill up from the care facility and we all went to JJ Jamoke's for a turkey dinner. I'll probably be able to have three or four meals (sandwiches, at least) out of the food leftover, which they let us take home. It's been a dreary, windy day, but the food helped warm us up. The girls are trying to find a way so Bill can hear the TV without turning it so high. The head phones he was using here at home are full of static when hooked up over there. We'll see what they come up with. Hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving!

Nov. 23, 2010

Picked Trina up from the airport Sun. afternoon. Time sure flies by when she is around. Today she bought a little tree and a couple other trinkets to decorate his room. Taking in some more family photos tomorrow. He seems to be doing pretty well, but he sure is giving the activities lady a challange. He doesn't want to do anything she suggests.
She (Trina) got a massage this morning and got me a pedi/mani cure. Boy, did my feet feel good afterward. This afternoon she showed me how to make an album on Facebook. Hope I can remember it next time I try.
After I dropped her at the bed and breakfast tonight (about 7:20), I went up to the facility. Closing time is 8, but I had talked to the on-duty nurse and he said he wouldn't kick me out if I wanted to stay a bit later, so I went in and watched NCIS with Bill. Stopped off on the way over to buy some caramel corn, so it was even better than a movie and pop corn. :-)
Going to the B & B for breakfast in the morning. They're pretty fancy cooks, so should be good.

Nov. 18, 2010

Only saw Bill for about five minutes yesterday. Ran in long enough to leave some 3-ply Kleenes (finally) and a small pkg. of Whoppers. Ran into Saginaw with Daniel to check out a couple Goodwill shops. Had a few extra minutes, so stopped at Covenant and picked up the bag of clothes they forgot to send with him.
Today they had Thanksgiving Dinner for the second floor at the Facility. I hadn't planned to go, but changed my mind and went up. He had refused to go to the dining room--was too tired and wanted to sleep. When I walked in I told him he had to go eat with me, but he whined a little and said he didn't even want to eat. An aide and I went down and got meals for both of us. For someone who wasn't hungry, and wanted to sleep, he sure cleaned up pretty well. We had turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce (the good stuff--all ground up), delicious rolls, green bean casserole and pie. I chose apple for both of us. Never have figured out whether he likes that or pumpkin better. I DO know that peach is usually his favorite. Probably because it is so seldom available. :-) I had heard someone mention chocolate cream, but that was all gone by the time I got there.
They worked him for two hours this morning in rehab. I'm going to check and see what the possibility is of shorter sessions. Gosh, for months he hasn't stayed awake, let alone moved for two hours at a time.
Rose (used to come stay with Bill) is coming over tomorrow to clean up the bathrooms and kitchen. Folks will just have to ignore the rest of the place. Did get all the bills paid tonight--on time I think (and hope). Now, it's time for B.T. and Tilly. Poor Buster, I haven't walked him for two days. Will try to fit that in tomorrow.

Bill in Caro

For those of you who aren't on Facebook, here is what Trina posted there (I called her a brat because she posted it before I got to posting my blog.): Mom got Dad settled he is at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, 1285 Cleaver Rd., Caro, MI 48723. Their webpage http://www.tcmcf.org/home.hhtml under contact us has a way you can send email to the residents. Dad isn't sure if he wants a phone...they supply tv/vcr/dvd player and basic cable so that is cool mjakes it easier for us. Hospital forgot his clothes in the closet so mom will go back to get them later.
So, that's where we are at this point. The nice thing is that I can stop in for just a few minutes when I'm out around town if I want. The bad thing is he's not home. Now, it's up to him. I told him if he gets so he can walk to the bathroom and the kitchen, I'll bring him back home....one step at a time, I keep telling myself.

Update on Bill

He's been seen by the Dr. from Caro, a doctor from the hospital, a cardiologist, and a neurologist. I don't think there were any others, but I'm not sure. The social worker is in the process of finding a place where he can go for rehab. If rehab doesn't help him improve a LOT, we will be looking for a long-term care facility. He did walk down the hall this afternoon, about as far as it would be from his lift chair to the front door. I was quite surprised, because he hasn't been on his feet since Monday afternoon. He's cooperative and nice to everyone who is working with him. He's also happy that he has his dentures and can eat most anything he wants. I think he has pneumonia, the doctor from Caro thinks he has Parkinson's (I'm fairly certain that's not so.) They've ruled out heart problems. The brain has shrunk, and they are going to do some more checking on that. Haven't seemed to be able to get anyone interested in finding out why he's lost feeling in his legs and can't get a message from his brain to his feet. Guess I'll have to try harder tomorrow. I'm doing pretty good. Getting more sleep at night to make up for losing my afternoon naps. :-) Trina is coming home for Thanksgiving week. She has been talking to the hospital every day and to some of the doctors, so I won't be able to get away with anything.

Great October

The month started off with an opportunity to see my brother Jerry and his entire family at his daughter Melissa's wedding in Marion, IN. Also got to see Don and Regina who went down for the day. Trina came to Caro and stayed with Bill and Lita took me to the wedding. It was a pretty wedding and I wish the happy couple a long and blessed marriage.
An added treat was a small town, Fairmont, about 15 miles away which has a James Dean museum, which Lita took me to see. Not sure she really enjoyed it, but I sure did! Then she took me to see the house he grew up in and out to the cemetery to see where he is buried. I added a T-shirt to my collection. :-)
Although short, we've had a beautiful color season. Now, I'm enjoying walking down the sidewalk listening to the sounds as I kick drying leaves as I go.
The past two Saturdays my young friend, Daniel, has taken me for rides to see the color. Both days we ended up by the bay and did a little walking. If the weather holds, tomorrow we will take along some food and see if we (I) can walk the entire trail and see how much wildlife we can spot.
I'm rocking babies for two MOPS groups this year, so I'm getting my baby-fix almost once a week. Have also been having play dates with three Poodles whose mother is on vacation. Someone else is feeding them, so I just have to go play when I feel like it. I feel like it about twice a day. Going to have to bring Sugar down to see how Tilly and B.T. react to her, although I keep saying I don't want a Poodle. Everybody says, "But then you won't have to worry about all the dog hair.) Will that make much difference since I already have to worry about all the cat hair?
Have been enjoying 'visiting' with folks on Facebook, but if I don't get on for a couple days, I never know what I might miss. Guess that isn't necessarily a world crisis, though, is it?
Everyone take care, Miss you.

Labor Day week end

Both girls were home for the week end. Picked Trina up at the airport in Saginaw on Thurs. afternoon; Lita came in time for supper Fri. Sat. Nikki and her three kids came over with Lita's small deep freezer. We had lunch at Mickey D's, then went over to Fairgrove for the Bean Festival. They had a lot of neat inflatables for the kids, and of course we older ones had plenty of fun just watching them.

Sunday the girls and I emptied out the old 15 cubic foot deep freezer and consolidated it to fit into the "new" 5 cubic foot one plus the fridge freezer. I'd been fixing as much as possible out of it for several months, so we didn't have to throw much away. :-) Was a bit surprised to find that the top layer of our wedding cake was no longer in there, so went ahead and discarded the top layer of our 25th anniversary cake and the top layer of Trina and Dave's wedding cake. Now trying to make connections to get DTE to come get it out of here for us. Sort of hate to see it go. It must be from the early 40's and has really worked well for us. Expect it eats up a lot of energy, though.

MOPS is starting again. This morning I went to the first meeting in Reese. The one here in Caro hadn't started yet. Then, this afternoon I got a call that the one here is geering up, so I'll have to check and see how many of them overlap. These difficult decisions really get me down. Lol

Enjoying the weather. Walking with others (and their dogs) every chance I get, and alone if I have to. Not enough I guess, since I've gained four pounds. Now it's back to pounding the pavement even more.

Past Time to catch up

Seems like since so many of us are on FB, we've sort of forgotten our blogs. Big brother, Jerry, says I need to update mine anyway, so here goes.

June 30--Took Toby in and had him put down. First time in about 18 years, I'm out walking alone. It's not near as much fun. Thank goodness Buster (and his owner, Sandy) come several times a week and walk me. And, I still make the rounds to all the dogs Toby, Dusty and I used to visit. Have had the offer to borrow a couple for walks, but it has been so hot lately I've held off on doing that. Also get to spend time with Sky and Cinder when their folks go away for a few days. I'm looking on PetFinder.com, but just not ready for a new one yet. Don't really want to bring another newcomer in to upset Tilly at this stage.

July 22 & 23--Had a second garage sale. Didn't do well financially, but sure had a lot of fun. Almost have the garage cleaned up again. Now, to find a place other than the attic to store the "seed" for next year's sale. :-) Have taken a lot of it to the thrift shop, but not all.

July 18--Ended up in the hospital for about 24 hours because I was dehydrated. Thought I knew better than that, and that I was drinking quite a bit. Guess too much of it was pop, though. Felt lots better after about 20 hours on an IV. Have cut the pop, and make a mark on the calendar everytime I drink 10 ozs. of water, so hope to avoid a return visit.

July 30--Got some plumbing done. Had pretty porcelain faucets in the back bathroom that were nearly impossible to turn--especially with wet, soapy hands. Have a one-handle fixture now that is easy to manage. Also got a new toilet in the main bath and shut-off valves under all the sinks just in case they're needed.

The Roadhouse Museum was open during fair week so people can see how it is progressing. Worked there one afternoon and another afternoon at the Humane Society booth at the fair. Gave me a chance to get in to the fair and buy my onion rings. Skipped the Elephant Ear this year.

Bill is doing about the same. Think if I'd get moving more I might get him moving more, but just seems so hard to stay away from those soft comfy couches, foutons, lounge chairs, etc. Working on it a little harder, so we'll see.

May 24,2010

Friday night went to see Tommy Cash and Michael Twitty in concert. Had seen Tommy four years ago and really enjoyed him. The show was pretty good. Poor Michael. He said as he was growing up he was often called "Itty Bitty Twitty". He still looks good, but he's not itty bitty. :-)

Things are about the same here, although it seems like Bill is having more trouble walking than he did before. He's still sleeping a lot.

Loving the warm weather, but still don't feel like doing anything. So, what's new?

May 8, 2010

Saw the eye doctor Monday. The stichesd hadn't disolved in my lids, so he took them out. Said all is well, and after the swelling goes down in the right lid, it should open up more. Hope so. It's just about as bad now as it was before the surgery. Have done quite a bit of running this week, but only for ordinary things--get groceries, check on new faucets, stuff like that. Not much happening. Guess that isn't all bad. :-) Had our first male aid the other day. He did dishes, cleaned up Bill's bathroom, vacuumed. He must have had a mother like mine, who taught her boys how to take care of themselves--and others. Problem with my bothers, though, is that when they found someone else who would do it, they "forgot" how to do all that stuff.

April 30

The gal who works at the shelter is better than I am. She managed to get the former owner's (of the kitty) number, and found out who owned the cat now. Shelter called owner, owner called me, kitty gone by-by. He had been missing for three weeks.

April 28, 2010

Have another stray cat in our garage kennel. She has a rabies tag from a Bay-Arenac vet, but when I called them they said their records show the owner gave her away. Left messages everywhere I could think of. Waiting to hear if the shelter has had anyone looking for her. If not, .... She's a sweetie--tiger with white boots. She and B.T. are sort of co-existing in the garage. I locked him out for a while during the day so she could have the run of the garage. Not planning to do it longer than tomorrow morning, though.

Don and Regina came up last night. They stayed over and headed back about 6:15 tonight, as I was leaving for my historical committee meeting. Regina and I played Wii this afternoon while Bill and Don slept in the same room. Not much bothers either of them when they want a nap. :-) My Wii Fitness age with the left hand was 44 today. Didn't try it with the right hand. I also reached a new record bowling with my right hand--248. Regina beat me in one game, though.

Lita was home for the week end. It sure went fast, but was pleasant. No big projects to work on, or anywhere we had to be.

Sunday was exactly a year since Mary Louise died. Her sister, sister-in-law, good friend/neighbor, and I went to her church as the mass was in her honor. Then we went out for lunch. Was good to be with them and talk about good memories, but sure was an empty spot at the table.

Tilly says it is way past bed time, so guess I'd better take her advice. Hope everyone is well. If you read my blog, please leave a comment. Beginning to think no one is doing anything--reading or writing--with blogs anymore. Has FaceBook killed blogs?

April 16, 2010

Lita came home for a few days last week.. We worked sorting bed linens and other stuff found while we were doing that. Took 3 garbage bags to Pet Friendz, a couple to Second Chance, and marked another couple for garage sale. If those don't sell, they will go to one of the others after the sale. So, got a lot more room in Trina's room, but still oodles to go through and get rid of.

While she was here, Bill asked if he might be able to get someone to take him up to Mackinaw City, so he could buy some pasties and smoked fish. Not sure how he would take such a ride, so going to get some smoked fish up by Bay City and get pasties another way. Nice to have him show interest in doing something, though.

The home aide that was coming regularly has taken in a couple of foster children, so I'm in the process of trying to get some other gals lined up to give me a break now and then. I knew it couldn't last forever, but was hoping for longer than a month. Oh well, we take what we can get.

Did you all hear that "our" (meaning the Thumb's) wolverine died? No one knows where she came from, but we know she will be stuffed and used for educational purposes. I was a bit surprised to know that although we are the Wolverine State, as far as 'the experts' know, no wolverines ever lived in Michigan until she showed up six years ago. Now, once again Michigan is wolverineless. I had hoped they would import a mate for her, but I don't think I would have wanted to share my yard with her and a family. :-)

Keep well. Enjoy spring.

Eye lids doing good

Thought I was going in to get stiches removed, but he said to use warm compresses a few times a day to help the stiches dissolve. Go back in three weeks to make sure all is well. This has really been easier than I thought it would be--including the fact that there has been almost no bruising. If anybody notices anything, they just think I have allergioes or have been crying. Gee, wonder what my next project should be. :-)

A few changes

What do they say?--The only thing constant is change. A couple weeks ago, Bill fell twice on the week end. I was gone, didn't have my cell phone, and he forgot he had an emergency button he could push. The day after the second fall, we began the process of getting someone to come in three days a week for four hours a day. I still walk Toby and maybe run a quick errand when he's sleeping, but try not to leave him alone any more than necessary.

We have started getting meals on wheels. Is nice not having to try and figure out what to fix for supper each day. The food is much better than I expected.

Last Tuesday I had an eye lid lift. The doctor says it should improve my sight by at least 20%. I expected huge black and blue spots all around the eyes, but it isn't bad at all. Right now my vision is blurry because I'm putting ointment on the incision, and some of it runs into my eyes. Go in Wed. I think they will take the stiches out then. No pain, but for a couple days it felt like someone had thrown sand in my face.

Snow is melting, sun is shining and temps are supposed to be above freezing all this week. Do you think spring could be on its way?

Busy Few Days

Home health nurse came Fri. She wasn't real happy with the cluttered family room that Bill lives in. I assured her that I had plans to clear out some of the junk. That nightLita came. Saturday we got Daniel over for a couple hours. He and Lita put The big green chair from the living room into the garage (When the weather is a bit nicer, we'll put it out by the road for someone to take.),then put my little recliner in the living room. We put a bookcase on one side of Bill's chair and an end table that Richie made on the other side. Now there is a lot wider space for him to walk through (and for Lita and me to play Wii). Daniel also carried some more "to sort" boxes out into the garage. Sure got my sorting work cut out for me.

Sun. Lita went through the stuff on the kitchen counter and helped me get rid of stuff and rearange what belong there. Looks pretty darn good, if I do say so.

Getting calls from all the home health care workers wanting to come see and evaluate Bill (and me) and start setting up a schedule. Just wish they could set things up at least a day ahead, these 8 o'clock calls asking if they can come the next afternoon (when I already have plans for that afternoon) are already starting to bug me. Guess they think I'm supposed to do nothing but sit here and wait for people to come and work with Bill and let my activities go by the wayside. Are they in for a surprise!

Yesterday the nurse and the occupational therapist came before I took off for Birch Run with a friend. I got home in time to fix his supper. This afternoon I take him to the doctor in Saginaw. Tomorrow the social worker comes. Thurs. the nurse (and maybe aide) come. We should get a bit of a break over the weekend. That's when I'm supposed to start going through all those boxes of junk. :-)

Hope you're all haviong a great week.

Here we go again

Nurse from home health care came this afternoon to evaluate Bill and see what they can do to help. So, for a while we will be juggling occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurse, and aide appointments. I am thankful for the help, but it sure gets hectic trying to fit all those appointments in along with my appointments--naps, animals, and other fun activities. Not to mention the writing and housekeeping I should be doing.

Went to Murdogs and had BBQ ribs after his foot appointment. Boy, were they good! (Sorry Kelly. I did think of you while I was eating them.)

Tomorrow I go rock babies in the morning and take a diabetic education class in the afternoon. In the evening I go to the church for scrapbooking, craft and game night. Also, Lita comes tomorrow night. Looks like a few busy(ier) days coming up. At least Lita has learned to (usually) respect my nap time, thank goodness.

Bill's hospital stay

Thursday morning about 4:30 I heard the emergency speaker calling EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY. Just as I got to the family room, she asked "Bill, do you need help? Should I call someone?" At the same time I said, "No, I'm here now," he said, "Yes, I need help." She heard me, and cut the connection. Then I turned to Bill (who was on the floor) and asked why he said he needed help. He said he thought he should go to the hospital and have his heart checked. Since he usually doesn't want me to call anyone, I decided I'd better do what he said. (Didn't want to get him back in the chair and go back to bed, 'cause I didn't want to wake up and find him dead in the chair.)

After a few hours they said they wanted to keep him overnight for observation. About 1p.m. they got him upstairs and into bed. He was supposed to get his left shoulder x-rayed that afternoon, but never did. The next day they kept waiting for the x-rays, until someone finally decided they hadn't been taken. The nurse came in and apologized, and said she had called and they were coming up to get him so they could x-ray his right shoulder. When I told her it was his left shoulder, she looked at me and said, "Are you sure?" When I said I was, she saiid, "Well, we'll have both shoulders x-rayed."

The next morning when Trina called, they still hadn't had the x-rays taken. I got a call in the afternoon saying that if the x-ray came back negative, he would be discharged. A while later got the call to come get him.

Daniel was over helping me get stuff away from the windows so the new ones can be installed on Tues & Wed., so I told her I'd be a bit late. Daniel and I woked for a couple hours. I took him home and went on to get Bill. We were back about 7 p.m.

So, we're back to what has been our 'normal' the last few months.

Playing Catch Up

Well, I brought my Vibe home, but without the decorations. They (the decorations) are in my storage closet, but the gal told me it needs to be ovet 55 degrees before I put them on. Guess that will be a while to wait. Car works pretty good, but I think it sounds a little tinny. Definitely easier for Bill to get in and out of. Even with all the work Daniel and I did, it sits out in the driveway. Trina put it in once for me, but until we do a little more cleaning up, it would have to go in at an angle. Then, I'm afraid to try and back it out. Guess I'll have to go buy one of those windshield covers so I won't have to do so much scraping when I want to use it.

Had a good Thanksgiving with both gitls home. We went to the local high-class restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. Trina spent most of her time working on our--and her--computers. Guess I'm going to have to find a computer tutor closer to home, though.

Christmas was very low-key here. Didn't even put out my nativity scene or ceranic tree. Bill had Lita do his shopping, so I ended up with a Wii. It's fun, but hard to find the time for--especially since it is hooked up in the famialy room. We did that thinking we might get Bill interested in it, but doesn't seem to be happening.

J.J.Jamoke wasn't open on Christmas, so we picked up a ham dinner at V.Gs and had it on Christmas Eve, Christmas day, and the Sunday after Christmas. Had pizza on Sat. night. Was nice to have lots of leftovers. Let Lita take some, and have been eating them evety since. Will probably finish the last of the ham in escalloped potatoes tonight.

Trina spent her Christmas and New Year's in Dubai. Hopefully we'll soon be able to see some of her photos either on her blog, or Facebook--maybe both. :-)

Calander is already filling up fast.I don't use ink on it anymore.

Hope everyone's New Year is starting of right. May God bless each of you throughout 2010.
